Boulder Colorado: the Center of the Known Universe
When you come to Boulder for the first time, it doesn’t matter what season it is or what the weather is doing- you’ll hear your mind sigh and say “ Oh-my-gosh this is beautiful” as a silly grin washes across your face. It’s been like that since the first settlers arrived in the area in the 1800s., and its like that now. Chief Niwot was the chief of the area Ute Indian tribe. He knew the power of the land and legend tells that he warned the sellers that once they had experienced the wonder and beauty of the Boulder valley, they would be fated to return if they ever left: inexorably drawn back by its charming spell. We fondly call it Chief Niwot's Curse, and he was right!
Start with the majestic beauty and of the flatirons; a visually astonishing example of the power of nature set against a backdrop of the foothills and Continental Divide. Add well over 300 days of sunshine, mild seasonal temperatures, an incredibly active and intelligent population in a county that has since 1969 preserved Open Space lands and restricted building development, and you have one of the best places to live and invest in real estate in the entire state of Colorado. Welcome to life in the center of the universe!
